Favorite Gen. I Starter

Post your favorite Gen. I starter and reason!

Mine: Squirtle
Reason: Easiest of the PokeMon to start with. Demolish Brock simply, and has some sweet movesets.

Mine would have to be Charmander.

Mostly I liked him because of the challenge he posed while being raised. The first two gyms were hard because both beat fire types very efficiently. Also, Mt.Moon was full of rock type pokémon and rock type trainers. After being raised everything thereafter became a breeze since Charizard was such a powerhouse, even if he did level up really slowly.

Charmander wasn't too bad if you put effort in leveling him.
Squirtle, you hit the ground running.
Bulbasaur had a low SP. Def.

Yes, but once Charmander learned Ember, the very beginning of the game was a cinch.
Squirtle wasn't all that great against bug types and was forced to use tackle, but did demolish Brock with Bubble.
Bulbasaur leveled up so fast, and despite that lack of special defense, he virtually annihilated Misty and Brock and was decent against Lt.Surge.

Squirtle raped with Mega Punch. Pow pow.
Im mad I had to wait so long for Squirtle in Yellow.

Squirtle was my least favorite of the starters so it didn't bother me too much.

Charmander! Fire starters were always better than their counterparts in my opinion! But that may be the pyromaniac in me...

Yeah, Charmander was pretty good when leveled correctly.
And I did like Charizard.

Shiny Charizard was love.

It was.
I used a gameshark JUST to get a Shiny Charizard.
